- Marie Godardâs status as a âfille Ă marierâ (marriageable girl) is disputed. Her name does not appear in key emigration records.[6],[7]
- Alternative theory suggests possible Indigenous Algonquin heritage.[8]
- Inventory of Marieâs possessions conducted 30 October 1685
- Toussaint had 323 documented descendants by 1729[19]
